Engr Habib Amoka call on kogites to prevent and mitigate violence and conflict by strengthening democratic processes (electoral, constitutional and parliamentary) for the peaceful and legitimate sharing of power.

 This approach is unique as it combines peace policy tools (dialogue facilitation, preventive diplomacy and mediation) with technical expertise (legal expertise, assisting political parties, democratic processes experts) to promote human security.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday tagged: “Worrisome State of Insecurity Caused by the SDP Gubernatorial candidate Hon. Yakubu Murtala Ajaka,

 Its Dangerous Consequences Before, During and After the 2023 Gubernatorial Elections,” the Engr Habib Amoka, described Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo APC Gubernatorial candidate as one who Abide by the electoral laws, And preach peace among others.

Permit me to also made it very clear that we would abide by the outcome of the votes.

Engr Habib Amoka decried the rising insecurity in Kogi State, accusing the Opposition parties governorship candidates, of using the disbanded security outfit, to intimidate and harass the citizenry and political opponents.

 Its recall that the SDP candidates had recruited some groups made up of people from various Communities in Igala Kingdom to intimidate the Kogi citizens.

Despite young people’s ability to affect positive change in democratic processes In Igala politics, they can also be involved in and subject to election-related violence.

 Although the vast majority of young people are neither violent nor interested in violence, political leaders sometimes successfully manipulate and mobilize young people to initiate or escalate violent actions to support their own political objectives.

While describing Kogi State as the most secure state in the entire North-Central Region.

 Engr Habib Amoka called on the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Security Agencies, United States and other Western countries to prevail on Hon. Yakubu Ajaka to stop attacking opposition parties.

He therefore called on the Federal Government to beam its searchlight on the activities of the Candidate of SDP in Kogi State with a view to ensuring a peaceful, hitch-free polls.
