Facebook User “Jamiylah Ozoyiza Aqbar” breaks silence on how she has missed opportunities because of pride
Pride can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, it can give us the strength to face our fears and push us to take risks. On the other hand, it can lead us to miss out on great opportunities if we let it get in the way.
This is something that I have experienced firsthand when I let my pride get in the way of taking advantage of certain opportunities that were presented to me. I was so focused on appearing strong and independent that I didn't even consider how much these opportunities could have benefited me in the long run.
I'm sure many people can relate to this feeling of regret when they realize they have missed out on something because of their pride. It's important for everyone to remember that sometimes it's better to take a step back and be humble rather than letting your pride blind you from seeing potential opportunities right in front of you.
Few years ago, while I was being and doing the Aqbar Photography hot girl thing, a guy sent a message to me wanting to use the little shine I had then to grow his blogging career. He wanted a simple task of me reposting his works but I didn't give him the attention. To me, he was only being a normal Facebook person who would dump the blogging thing on the longer or long runs and didn't involve myself.
Celeb opaku celeb oshi, I refused to put body.
Today, I want to bring back my photography brand and I'll be needing to pay him for adverts and publicity because my brand has gone the other side of the lane and guy has grown and spread all over the state like wild fire. You'll be doing yourself a big lie if there's someone asking who the bloggers in Kogi are and you don't mention him.
Guy now runs adverts for the big fishes and his PR services with the blogging thing has risen above flames.
Looking down on people. A lot of us are of the habit of looking down on people below us. Little fame and we go day do gragra. How ugly is it that we often forget the times before us, but live ruthlessly the time designed for us, then regret the way we lived our times when time get behind us.
You see, if you ever get the chance to help people, no matter how little your part may signify, help. No good turn gets wasted. Think of the days when you were not known and the days you'd be forgotten and use them to live your time wisely.
Remember you are not important for forever. Eyívabumē oví umē' ayí.
